Advertisement Posted June 14 Posted June 14 Hi o2mpx, Take a look here Comparing CL to Sigma fp-L with TL zooms. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
JTLeica Posted June 14 Share #2  Posted June 14 IQ will be just fine. However, have you tried an FP for photography? I have just bought a CL in the last week, about to use it today for the first time properly. I’ve had the FP for about a year and a half. The FP is a nightmare to use for photos, has really awful rolling shutter as the sensor readout is so slow and no mechanical shutter, so if you aren’t careful you’ll end up wi the warped images. And ergonomically it’s about the worst camera ever made. But IQ is great, it’s a superb Astro or landscape (on a tripod) camera. But I wouldn’t buy one as a primary photo camera.

Though some people seem to have no problem with it. I'd pick the CL every time, even over the much more modern fpL.
andy3009 Posted June 15 Share #4  Posted June 15 I have both, I'm more than happy with the IQ from the fp L with the TL 18-56 and I like the form factor. It makes a nice compact walkabout combo. But if I had to pick one for photography it would be the CL due the the mechanical shutter and viewfinder. FWIW a couple of pics taken with the fp L and TL 18-56. lct Posted June 19 Share #6 Â Posted June 19 Matter of taste and/or subject matters i guess. I can't seem to get the rolling shutter effect on the FPL even on moving subjects like my grand children and i find the ergonomics quite good with the EVF. YMMV.
