My local dealer explained me today that all the firmware updates that cause problems are due to a WIFI (via FOTOS) update.
He says that it the update is made ‘the old way’ (via SD card), it works flawlessly.
Can those who encounter the problem confirme they updated via Fotos App ?

I updated firmware using old school way and still have problem.Update via SD or App doesn't matter.

After sending the camera back to have it checked on the issues I have encountered they reply that technicians checked the camera’s internal logs and found no software errors during the time I had it in use, so they are not concerned about errors stemming from the internal memory. So the matter is settled then, I guess.

I think in the future I will only save pictures to the SD, just to make sure the pictures stay safe.

Or you can choose saving photos to both SD+internal and see how it goes.Just not to use FOTOS app for awhile to test.It's been 10 days since i stopped using FOTOS and i have not encountered any "internal memory full' promt so far.I am quite sure there is conflict between FOTOS and the camera.During connecting progress between the camara and FOTOS requires huge amount of buffer memory that causes the internal bug,i assume.

That's how I got to keep my 1 month worth of holiday photos all in the SD, but since the Internal memory is unreliable I don't think I will be using it in the future. 

I use FOTOS for a month to download photos to my tablet while traveling without any issue. It is when I plug the camera to my PC at home and try to import photos to the LR that's when I saw the Internal Memory Full message and realise that there is not a single picture in there.

I have been using this M11-P since I bought it just over a year ago and never had this 'Internal memory full' bug.  I was in Northern Italy last month and luckily got the dreadful message on day one after about a 100 images in both JPG and DNG.  I managed to save the images to my iPhone using the FOTOS app, a slow process, and then formatted the internal memory and set the image saving to the SD card.  I have never had a similar problem and indeed any bugs for that matter with any of my Nikon and Fuji X series cameras and others over the years.  This is totally unacceptable and a disgrace for a company like Leica to not be able to provide a normal functioning camera that cost almost 10 thousand US dollars.

I’ve had the M11M with me for two weeks. Updated the firmware via the Fotos app first and used the app to download some of the photos while on the road. I got the Internal Memory Full Error towards the end of the trip and it would only go away after reformatting the internal drive. It’s going back to the dealer today. Fantastic camera, but I have to be able to rely on internal storage working.

The FOTOS is at fault.Even you change to a different M11-D.The bug is likely to occur.Some users with brandnew 11-P Safary have the same problem,too.Try not to use FOTOS.I haven’t used FOTOS since the last time i replied to this topic and the camera works smoothly.
