Is a yellow cast common on Telyt 560 f/6.8 lenses?   Mine looks just like the attached photo from the web

My 400 (sister lens) has no color cast

I have used UV lamp for a week with no success.

Is this normal?

Hello im_user,

Does the color cast seem to be on the surface of the lens on 1 side or the other?

Meaning. when you look thru 1 side of the lens: Do you look thru clear glass to see the yellow on the surface of the other side of the lens?

And, when you turn the lens to look thru the otherside: Does the color cast seem to be on the surface of that side of the lens?

Best Regards,

Michael

Hello im-user,

Have you tried GENTLY cleaning the lens surfaces with NO liquid?

Altho it is OK to blow on the lens surface GENTLY (For a tiny bit of moisture.) before GENTLY wiping the lens surface.

What color is the lens coating of your 400mm f6.8 Telyt?

What color is the lens coating of your 560mm f6.8 Telyt?

Do the 400mm lens & the 560mm lens both have the same first 3 digits of their serial numbers?

Best Regards

Mihael

That means, that the camera corrects the colour cast. But it does this correction by extra amplifying blue.

I found this in YT.

On my well calibrated screen, that pic of the man with large lens looks definitely heavily Blue. Something did not get corrected.

Fact is, I do not understand how the 'camera' can decide what colour cast a lens may or may not introduce, much less correct for it. Even AI (whatever that is) could not get it right, because 'right' is only a matter of taste.
