M11-P Posted April 27 Share #1 Posted April 27 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hey everyone, hope you are doing well. I just got M11-P on test before purchase for 10ish days, and I love the camera except the fact that buffer speeds and clearing times seem a bit slow for what I was used to even with older dSLRs. The best settings I could get were to set only shooting DNG to SD card and what I get is around 12-15shots and 12-15seconds after that until full clear. Any chance I could get better results or its just the files are super big and there is no way? SD card I/m using is 128g SanDisk extreme pro 300mbs Shooting dng+jpeg on internal only is crazy slow. Recovery time is 40 seconds. FW is 2.2.1 Thanks in advance 🙏

Photoworks Posted April 27 Share #3 Posted April 27 They didn't tell you it is a camera for slow photography? It is not the SD card; the buffer to the card is slow. It is faster to IN memory if you need fast. It is a balance of 60MP- performance, battery life. Leica went with image quality, with all day battery. But thanks. 1 hour ago, Photoworks said: It is faster to IN memory if you need fast. +-, about the same with my example. That's why it was suspicious to me. @jaapv, thanks🙏 Edited April 27 by M11-P

elmars Posted April 28 Share #6 Posted April 28 As long as You shoot L-DNG the camera will not get significantly faster, regardless of whether only IN or with whichever SD card

Its okay, I'll work through it just wanted to check if I'm hitting the maximum with clearing time of 10-12sec or I can reduce it.🙏🏻 Edited April 28 by M11-P

M11-P Posted April 29 Author Share #9 Posted April 29 Retested now in only internal dng+jpeg. 10 sec. Weird. Maybe something was off with the card. But dig only on card is also fast, 12-13sec to save them all

It feels like the camera takes a 60MP image and then saves a smaller file.
