BillCB Posted March 25 Share #1 Â Posted March 25 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have three batteries for my SL3, all Leica and identical to the one provided with the camera at purchase. Two of them spring out of the camera when the lever is turned;, but one merely clicks and doesn't emerge. I have to pry it out. Although it's not visible, clearly the battery must be very slightly swollen, although it charges fine and lasts as long as the others when shooting. I'd send it back except most dealers won't accept used batteries and the warranty has run out. Anybody else had this problem - or a solution? V23 Posted March 25 Share #2  Posted March 25 I had a same problem with battery in FujiFilm XT4 camera, battery was swollen just a little bit to slide out easily. My suggestion is to discard this battery and get a new one. It is still charging as you say, but it is on the way out. I would not risk it to use it further in your LS3.
Photoworks Posted March 25 Share #3 Â Posted March 25 Just reach out to Leica support the camera has 2-year warranty, it probably came with a battery. Â
jaapv Posted March 25 Share #4  Posted March 25 Don’t use this battery again and dispose of it properly. A swelling Lithium battery is a fire and explosion hazard. Quite apart from the fact that it might get stuck on the camera. 3

BillCB Posted April 13 Author Share #6 Â Posted April 13 I'm pleased to report that Leica in New York is replacing the battery under warranty - and they were very pleasant about it! Bill
Paul2660 Posted April 19 Share #7  Posted April 19 Advertisement (gone after registration) The SL3 has a 2 year warranty do the batteries also have the same?  I assume the battery that comes with the camera does but was curious on additional batteries.  Glad Leica took care of it. A swollen Phase One battery took my back out of play for months as it would not come out.  Paul
