Here's mine. The 1957 bathtub 356 Porsche, 1600 cc of deep-throated purring and unmatched design beauty (in my opinion).

A lovely choice.  The specific model is the Speedster.  Importer Max Hofman proposed to Porsche to make a less expensive, basic 356 roadster for the US market, and they complied.  They are now quite valuable, and rightly so.  However, it loses most of its grace when its strange top is in place.

Also Porsche, the 550 Spyder is one of my favorites.  I shot these photos at a display in Grand Central Terminal when Porsche was releasing the Boxter in the US.  D2

They made about 70, one of which was destroyed when James Dean had a fatal crash in his.  Two years before I shot this, one sold at the Amelia Island auction for $4.3 million.  Jerry Seinfeld has an even more rare, more expensive version - the racing version.

I actually quite like it with the top up.

Actually, I have more than one all-time favorite car.  A second one is the Ferrari 250 Berlinetta SWB.  In the late '50s and early '60s Ferrari made several cars in the "250" series, all using a Columbo designed 3-liter V-12 engine, culminating in the GTO, which is also in my all-time favorite cars list - However, that one is so rare and expensive that not even my fantasies can entertain it (I think they made about 36, vs. around160 SWB model).  However, the SWB (stands for Short Wheelbase - they made short and long wheelbase models in Berlinetta [coupe] and Spyder [convertible] configuration.  The 250 is the displacement of each cylinder.  Multiply the 250 by 12 cylinders to get 3 liters.  The short wheelbase made for better race handling, and it raced very successfully.  I almost like the 250 TDF as much.  TDF means Tour de France.

One of them, anyway. My Dad bought it in Seattle, July 15, 1969. Mine since 2001.

Also a roadster, but suitable for everyday use and not quite as old. A rather special combination of roadster and diesel engine.

Nicely handled depth-of-field,

Thanks. The lens is not too bad. I remember choosing f/1.4 and ISO100 as it was very bright that day, the exif data confirms it. Re pp: I created a mask for the car and added a bit of contrast which may reinforce the impression.

Well, here's another - I can't limit myself to just one all-time favorite.  The Dino 206 and Dino 246.  I shot this 206 with a Vlux114 in Manhattan
