This is the perfect opportunity to justify the purchase of another lens.  I suggest a compact, lightweight lens, perhaps a 28mm Elmarit, and also your 50 Summilux.

It depends what you shoot.  If you shoot the signs and buildings sure f4 bright enough.  if you don't it probably wont be enough.  I usually take summilux's for Japan due to the interesting prospects at night.  But that's me...

Decision taken ( I have to pack my bag ) it will be the MATE for the day and the 24 lux for the day and night
