beewee Posted July 20 Share #23 Posted July 20 Dear Steffen Rau, Stefan Daniel, and Dr. Kauffman, Please give us the 24mm APO SL that you teased me with to get me into the SL system. I would be most grateful if you take my money and give me such a lens, along with a 24x65 crop on the SL3. As much as I try to suffice with the 24mm Elmar-M + SL3 and cropping in lightroom to get an equivalent framing of a 45mm XPAN image (see example below), the user experience is not ideal. As a company who strives to provide their customers with a unique and pleasant shooting experience, I hope you will understand. Welcome, dear visitor! Childish behavior of a company not to provide such thing (it is so easy to do, as it is just a crop), cause the competition came up with the original idea. I gave up waiting, bought a x1d ii plus 30mm instead. It’s good to have choices, and happily Leica isn’t the only player. They have great optics, but listening to customers isn’t their strongest side.

Chuck Albertson Posted July 24 Share #26 Posted July 24 Sadly, it's not going to happen. Management decided they likely wouldn't sell enough copies to make their money back.
