LocalHero1953 Posted February 17 Share #1 Posted February 17 Advertisement (gone after registration) Headshots for aspiring actors. They'd been briefed to keep a serious expression, but I coaxed a few smiles and funny faces as well. My practice is to remove zits and other skin blemishes only if they are temporary. Out of 14 people, only two needed any attention. I will be the first to criticise these for too narrow a depth of focus. A counter-argument is that the soft focus elsewhere draws the viewer's gaze into the face. SL2-S + Sigma 85/1.4 Welcome, dear visitor! Olaf_ZG Posted February 17 Share #4 Posted February 17 Regarding pp you and I are rather different. I would have cleaned some more spots. Regarding dof, this is how I like it 😎 regarding jewelry, I am wondering how the lux would have handled this, but then that is more a discussion for myself. I do like the images though, nice job.

Yes, just two approaches to the same objective. I have an aversion to the US-style professional prom photo that removes and softens everything to make 14 year olds look 25! And I find natural skin texture attractive. But that's just my preference.
