As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! I understand that it's a 35mm Summicron v4, but with red markings? The image is from https://lens-db.com/leitz-leica-summicron-m-35mm-f2-iv-1980/ FYI Was this a repaint or a very rare edition? I've seen a few of these floating around, never for sale though. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
 Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! Advertisement Posted February 15 Posted February 15 Hi EamonnR, Take a look here Any information on this lens?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted February 15 Share #2 Posted February 15 Just a variation and not very rare, I would say.

The lens came with either yellow/white or red/white markings, so as jaapv says just a variant of no enhanced value. Why do you ask?
mujk Posted February 15 Share #4 Posted February 15 (edited) The V4 has seven elements. According to Leicawiki there is a variant with red/white scale. https://wiki.l-camera-forum.com/leica-wiki.en/index.php/35mm_f/2_Summicron-M_IV The serial number would tell the year of manufacture.
