I came to the conclusion that it must have something to do with the black coating. This phenomenon does not occur with the Leica M11 because the shutter of the M11 is designed differently from that of the Leica M10. Yes, it is the black lens mount. But painting it solves the problem. I plan to properly code it, that would also give me proper exif data.
Advertisement Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Hi -ph-, Take a look here Voigtlander Color-Skopar 35mm F3.5. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!

lct Posted March 27 Share #43 Posted March 27 After a thesis on the word exposure we won't escape a treaty on the word proper i bet. I love this forum

But it would give my something which allows me to identify the lens in the EXIF. Also, the focal length would be mostly right. For me, being able to identify the lens is the most important part. Ideally, Leica would allow me to upload my own coding table, but I doubt they would help competing manufacturers.
lct Posted March 27 Share #46 Posted March 27 My Elmar 35/3.5 is coded as a Summarit 35/2.4 (010001),less so for its vignetting, that the 6-bit code is supposed to correct, than because it is a lens i don't own so i can easily ID it this way. Do you know how the Skopar 35/3.5 vignette? Just curious.
TomB_tx Posted March 27 Share #47 Posted March 27 Advertisement (gone after registration) I pretty much stick with the same EXIF data I did in the 1960s...

RF’sDelight Posted April 4 Share #53 Posted April 4 (edited) My very first two shots with the Voigtlander Color-Skopar 35mm F3.5 on my M10M. Malabito Posted April 30 Share #57 Posted April 30 This lens looks like a winner! Trying to decide whether I should go for the 28mm or the 35mm. I am more of a 28mm person, but I already have a Summaron and a Summicron.

Go for it because you already have two 28 mm lenses. 😎
