Enjoy your camera.  Are you planning any further additions, modifications?

Nope. My goal was to make it different - which frankly I think was achieved, judging by all the friendly comments on here :)

I like to keep expensive toys like that one as pristine as possible  - this will allow me to keep the camera in better condition, if down the road I decide to sell it and the body doesn’t have any scratches or marks  - by simply removing the wrap

I took care of my previous camera - Sony RX1R II that I got in 2016 and was able to sell it for $2000 few weeks ago.

Well, at least you didn't put a silver lens on a black body, that will get friendly comments for eternity.

I'll admit, the styling of your camera isn't really my preferred taste either, but it's a shame people are being such jerks to you.  Have fun with your new camera, and don't let the negative comments ruin your enjoyment of using it.

Appreciate that. I knew it’s not for everyone and I’m fine with that. Typically I just leave myself out of negative comments.

it was fun experience installing it though. Somewhat wasy and tested my patience, but personally I think I did a good job, and it looks better in person.

I was not brave enough to go for some more of the flashy and bold colors they offer, so what you see is what I got.

It’s a nice look.  I thought of putting a wrap on my 43, so it’s easier to distinguish  from my Q2 and Q3

Thank you. All together it took about 30 min. No heat-gun used. Just patience and tweezers. It just gave me a piece of mind not worry too much about light marks and paint scratches due to additional layer of protection on my $7000 item.

since for most of people commenting here it looks fugly, there is a chance it won’t get stolen lol.

The biggest problem with your mindset to express opinion that “Q3 is a toy” within creative / pro photographers who are making art with cameras.

it doesn’t make any sense, people here make photos and don’t babysit their camera for resell

I have to admit that i have thought about foiling my new SL2 (but not my Q2) for use in unsafe locations, the big L E I C A on it screams "steal me", but it depends what class a thief is, a junkie probably don't know the value of a Leica and would steal also a 30 year old Pentax, but more evolved thief (or cleptomaniac photographer) may know that Leicas are very pricy cameras.
I have a friend who bought a M10 for his travels in 3rd world countries and covered her with black gaffer tape what is really ugly, foiling is certainly the better and less invasive way.

Yes, and to recognise how serious we are about our art, Leica provides special editions in a multitude of finishes, colours and tacky designs, not to mention brass, silver and gold thumb rests, shutter buttons and lens caps, and let's not forget the Teddy Bears and watches.

Let's not take ourselves too seriously. After all, if we were real professionals we would be using Canon, Nikon and Sony.

Hahaha love it. Thank you for pointing that. I simply ignored that post because it apparently upsets someone of what I do to MY CAMERA that I spent MY MONEY on

Good to do your own thing.  I chose to do absolutely nothing with my Q2M.  Bought a grip for it and didn't even like that.  Not yet anyway.  I like both your cars, even though I don't do anything to my cars either.  Maybe your next one should match your Leica?  Enjoy your camera.

I’ve used alphagvrd on some bodies and lenses in another system, and apart from providing some protection, it also makes it easier to not grab the wrong body or lens when in a rush.

Maybe I’ll do the same to my 43 some day.

For what it’s worth, my F66 is in classic BRG.

I was really afraid of the outcome but to my surprise it was extremely easy work with even in the most challenging areas. It also added extra grip to the body for better handling.

I think it looks great, unique to you and it makes you happy, after what we spend on these things, there is nothing wrong with protecting the body and adding a bit of personality to it at the same time in my opinion. might do something random with mine now looking at this, I’ve always been a boring sod.
