Neel Posted January 28 Share #1 Posted January 28 Advertisement (gone after registration) Does anyone know where I can find the lens hood cap for my 35mm summicron asph? I have searched Leica websites, Amazon, eBay, I can't find the cap. Is it possible the cap is the same across other lenses? Thx

AandW Posted January 28 Share #3 Posted January 28 I recently had to get a replacement square hood cap for my 28mm summicron. Having twice lost it I purchased the otect M-cap (otect.co) this time. It is a different design that is intended to be more secure. The fit and finish of the otect cap is quite good and it looks nice on the lens. It does not clip onto the hood as securely as I had hoped it would but I have yet to have it fall off in my bag. With the original cap I would occasionally remove the lens from my bag (both on and off the camera) to fine the cap left behind. It may be worth your consideration as they do list your lens as compatable. I purchased through Camtec in Montreal. I believe the Leica Store Miami also sells it.
