Composition quite nice, not sharp but that could be the low resolution upload.  My eye keeps getting drawn to the telegraph lines so I would remove them.  Maybe a little more detail in the shadows on the right and perhaps lift the sky, but otherwise quite nice.  Apologies for messing around with your photo 🙂

It’s the Leica Look, not overly sharp with good detail!

You’re looking at the JPEG of the DNG RAW file!  Not the same…!

Thanks for removing the cable lines.

My obsolete computer can’t…🤓

A vast improvement IMO!

Now; can you please give Anthony's M-D some viewfinder and rangefinder windows? I always think, every time I see that pic, that his camera is blind.

Then again; Very True to the concept of Leitz' original MD and MD-2 cameras!!!

The cheapest, lowest spec MacBook Air, download Lightroom and a couple of clicks.  AI does the rest 😵‍💫

Ah, I’ve just worked out the problem - his camera doesn’t have a rear screen so he can’t see the result 🤣

You have to admit, Anthony is a good sport!  This is one of the more enjoyable exchanges where no one takes it too seriously.

I use premium editing to become a good sport…🤓

I suspect my SL is one of my best investments - worth nothing, but works very well with M lenses (some better than on an M camera), it does zooms and telephotos.  It will die one day, and I will owe me nothing at all.

I spend no time looking at what other people are trying to sell the same lenses as I own.  I also try to forget what I paid for them (a little difficult sometimes).  What I loathe is when I’m out taking photos and some nerd comes up to me and says “Wow, is that a Leica black paint, APO Summicron-M 50mm f/2 ASPH“?

I feel like telling them to piss off - it makes me feel stupid for owing such and expensive lens, and somewhat embarrassed.

Investments are not just for capital gain but for enjoyment also.  Many including myself invest in a camera and lens never intending of making money but making memories or art…🖼️

Well Anthony, this is why I'm confused.  I try to help you with some basic economics, how to value investments.  Then you say, post 44, this thread has nothing to do with financial gain.  Fair enough.  But then there are several posts [by you] all pointing out the financial gains to be had by acquiring Leica product.

I

Think of it like a ringmaster who has his own circus, so this is his own thread, it isn't meant to go anywhere, it isn't meant to solve a problem or make the world better, it is just for the ringmaster to take you around in circles.

Curiously enough a few days ago I came up with something very similar on the basis I couldn't resolve what the OP was claiming against what I was seeing (in another thread using his same two photos), so I changed it to this but didn't post it at the time. I see you have a good eye.

There are those, Thorsten Overgaard as an example, that do.

My thoughts on this was a M60 was too beautiful to use every day and just to keep it as an investment.  It did get out of control some…😂

Post 44 was a response to post 43…🤓
