MRJohn Posted January 25 Share #1  Posted January 25 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi everyone, would be nice to see how you put the high ISO capabilities of the latest SLs (include SL2-S for comparison) to good use. Suggested rules: only ISO 6400 and above must indicate: ISO, camera highly desirable: aperture, shutter speed, lens, handheld/tripod, if you applied noise reduction (indicate software used) optional: comment/caption. try to keep comments to posts to a minimum I start with an example: ISO 6400 - SL2-S - f/3,4 - 1/25th sec - Apo-Telyt-M 1:3.5/135mm - handheld - LR denoise - comment/caption: portrait of a jazz pianist during a gig  Welcome, dear visitor! mpauliks Posted January 26 Share #13 Â Posted January 26 When doing my walks at night, I think I will let SL3-S ISO Automatic run up to 50.000 for now. In a first walk at night, that worked out fine IMO. Though 100.000 myself did not try so far.
mpauliks Posted January 26 Share #14  Posted January 26 (edited) To complete this high ISO series on SL3-S: ISO 100.000, VE 24-90, handheld, LR denoise at 70 and more processing in post, 1/160s, f/2.8 I think 50.000 is a good rule of thumb for automatic. Maybe 75.000? Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members!
