I wound up purchasing a new M11-D, slightly used Voigtlanders 28 1.7, 50 1.2, and 90 2.8, and a used ONA Bowery bag.

This forum was so much help, reminds me of the Leica users group from decades ago (I just came across an old lens cleaning cloth from Don Chatterton Leica, if anyone remembers him).

Anyway, I have taken just a handful of pictures, will have more time once I retire in about 90 days.

Here is an obligatory pet photo (Flat Coated Retriever, Edra (short for Edradour). It is remarkably hard to take pictures of a black dog.

Cheers,

David

Hmm...  Edradour: not so smokey, more on the sweetish side.  Very fitting name for a sweet dog!

And, a very good start with a very good, and quite comprehensive, kit!

That's what Brooklyn Beckham said about elephants, your photo is however much better! Enjoy the kit!

Congratulations on your upcoming retirement and purchase of a new kit. Excellent selections all around. I'm guessing you meant the VM 28 1.5? If so, you will be really happy with that lens, as well as the 50 1.2, which is another excellent lens. I don't have personal experience with the 90 2.8, but it seems like it provides good IQ along with a very small size, which is the trend these days with Voigtlander. I bought my 28 used and it has become one of my favorite lenses, along with the 35 1.5.

Congrats!  Got my Rangefinder starter kit as well.   Now you need a Q3 43 to take pictures of it...
