I accidentally left my Leica M-E (Type 240) and 35mm/1.4 Summilux on a Greater Anglia train bound for London from Norwich, UK on December 23, 2024. It was reported to authorities (and Leica) but as of January 5, 2025 not found. Please be advised that if these two items appear on the open market, they should be considered STOLEN. Their respective serial numbers are below:

-Leica M-E (Type 240):  5548392

-Leica 35mm/1.4 Summilux lens:  4194302

Thank you to those that responded with reassurance: it worked. Wonderful news. Greater Anglia Railway located my Leica and called me today. Please disregard my post as lost/stolen. Great thanks to UK and the railway staff.

That’s great news - find out who/which team recovered your camera and send them a cake or some flowers or just a “thank you” email.

I am always touched by the response when I’ve made time to personally thank someone in a “faceless” organisation for a good outcome as they usually spend their entire day having to deal with a lot of cr@p from disgruntled customers.
