No more freezes on the M11 with there latest Firmware?

Don't know.  Some have never had a freeze regardless of firmware.  Perhaps luck, perhaps something else.  I'm coming up on my 2nd anniversary with the M11 and the only "freeze" (not really) I experienced was triggering the shutter with the lens cap on then having to wait for the noise reduction to do its thing.  I believe I turned off Noise Reduction shortly thereafter.

I was one of that lucky runs with the early M11.. though my setting was quite minimal and always manual regardless everything, including no preview time, no high speed shots etc but i just felt so vulnerable without my M10r every time

With rumors of a hybrid viewfinder and who-knows-what-else in the M12, I’m sure there will be new, additional tech that will need to mature.

Discussed ad nauseam here. Stefan Daniel said a hybrid finder is a “no-go” based on trials resulting in unacceptable compromises to both viewing systems, especially due to space limitations. (Fuji has no RF mechanism.) He did, however, suggest that an EVF-based M (or whatever it would be called) might be considered if sufficient customer demand is determined. He also said earlier that Leica is committed to maintaining an RF-based M.

Denny until it is official

the tendency is going there.

M11 has a live view always active

the next step would better EVF experience

that they are working on an integrated EVF.  From people inside leica you hear that they have been working on it for years. it is a rumor until they actually offer something

Hi everyone! I have finally bought a second-hand m11 at a very good price.

I’m very happy with the camera although now I understand some comments in the forum regarding the camera that I did not understand before having it. I don't know if it's because of the shutter feeling, the change of the back cover plate or other causes but it's true that the camera feels less like a classic camera and gets a little closer to the mirrorless world that I would like to avoid.😅😅

I have to say that don’t like the shutter sound at all!!  I was in love with the M10R shutter sound and I don’t like the new one . I guess I'll get used to it.

On the other hand, I have to say that I loved the advantages  that the camera incorporates (Better battery, less weight, USB charging and sensor of different resolutions depending on the moment (I'm still waiting to see its performance at computer…).

Thank you all!
