paulleica Posted December 25, 2024 Share #1 Posted December 25, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Does anyone have any experience with the Kipon M teleconverter? The website says that it was designed in Germany. I haven't found anything about it on the internet. https://kipon.de/shop/adapter/optische-adapter/baveyes-extender/baveyes-leica-m-2x-telekonverter/ 1
Advertisement Posted December 25, 2024 Posted December 25, 2024 Hi paulleica, Take a look here Kipon BAVEYES Leica M 2x teleconverter. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
BrettWayne Posted December 25, 2024 Share #2 Posted December 25, 2024 (edited) There’s a bit of Fujifilm GFX experience out there with their BAVEYES Hassy compressor and it’s not known for it’s performance. It’s also ludicrous (in my mind) to illustrate the adaptability of a 2X tele converter on an M6 with a 135/3.5 which is effectively at 270/6.3. For the price you could get a multiple lens Visoflex setup that’s faster and much more useable. Or an adapted R tele, etc… not to mention it doesn’t appear to couple the rangefinder? lct Posted December 25, 2024 Share #3 Posted December 25, 2024 Interesting indeed. Not sure how the camera can focus with this converter though. I suspect it works only in LV mode and is not compatible with auto zoom but i may be wrong.
m11user Posted January 7 Share #4 Posted January 7 KIPON posted some photos on facebook a while ago: https://www.facebook.com/kiponadapters/posts/1092503172877417 It seems the adapter doesn't change the color rendering of the used lenses and keep the sharpness quite high. luigi bertolotti Posted May 11 Share #5 Posted May 11 (edited) No practical experience on this new extender ? I see that price is on the rather high side, considering the vendor (I have a decent Contarex to M adapter from Kipon) so I am reluctant to buy it "just to try" 🤒... it surely won't be better (on some 90) than an APO 180 with R to M adapter, and probably the same (on AT 135) than a Telyt 280... though more portable, which is the only reason for I vaguely think of it...
