For professionals, Nissin offers the MG-10, which I use without any problems and have never had to buy a new one. Other camera companies offer own-brand dedicated flash units for about the same price as the SF 60 that work in TTL mode and are built for reliable professional use. It's not unreasonable to expect a £520 flash to meet these standards, and to be disappointed if it doesn't.

Then there is no alternative - except for manual flash - ok vor 2 Stunden schrieb Photoworks: i opened up both of them since I had a few broken pile lying around. the 2 flashes have very different electronic inside. This route is probably also excluded.

Most camera brands have their own, mutually incompatible flash protocol regardless of hotshoe contact configuration. 🥹

Even though the Leica and Nikon hot shoe contacts appear to be in the same configuration the flash protocols are different. Now a Nikon sync cord will work if one wants to move the hot shoe flash off camera. That is what I use since Leica does not appear to make one. In order to have on camera TTL flash one needs a Leica branded flash. For off camera TTL flash both Profoto and Godox make Leica compatable hot shoe mount wireless remote triggers.
