You can see this on the picture on their website. The canvas material itself is fine and on the smaller ones back they don't have it. It actually wrecked one of my Canada Goose jackets, but Canada Goose recognized that as a material issue and refunded. My other jackets were fine. My 43 fits no problem on its side, even with Q3 lens hood & Thumbs Up rubber lens cap. Just take out the little insert divider. Now I upgraded slightly and bought a Peter Hadley London System I bag that holds the Q with my attached Eddycam strap and up to two extra batteries. I can carry BOTH my Q2M and Q343 at the same time, with a battery bank in between for charging. Or I can pull one of the cameras out, and carry a few other things as well. I found this discounted Oberwerth Q2 bag, which, by coincidence, was the same as the Q3 bag, only several hundred dollars less on closeout sale, making it just extremely pricey. Had I found this thread earlier, maybe I would have considered one of the canvas bag recommendations. Other than the price, I like the bag a lot for a single camera. I also have a similar-sized nylon Sony bag, 12 years old, for my RX1, that is a bit more functional but a little more Walmart in the looks department. This bag is supposed to be water resistant leather. Some criticize water can sneak in, but the flaps seem like they would be pretty good at keeping water out... and the camera is water resistant, so there's that. With the divider, I currently fit a blower and charging cord, and/or a flash cold fit there. There are a few other thin pockets that would be fine for various filters. I'm still debating the best way to put in while the camera is wearing the hot shoe thumb grip. I think I am preferring the camera body in the center of the bag. Welcome, dear visitor! My Q2 was usually carried in a Fogg Soprano, and had a wrist strap - I much prefer shoulder bags and wrist straps for casual carries (or a hand strap for the SL/SL2-S, which I guess is more for continuous photography). And a neck strap gets tangled up in a bag. The Q3 43 can of course occupy the same space in the Soprano as the Q2 (which occupies a cardboard box, waiting to be shipped off). But as I expect it to double as a back-up for the SL2-S, I shall try it tomorrow in a Fogg b major together with the SL2-S + 24-90SL - both ready to hand. I thought I would share it with you. I have my Q3 43 and my Q2M in it. It carries both really well either as a fanny pack or as a shoulder bag with the accompanying strap. For the Q3 with minimal accessories I use the Wotoncraft 2L. For more room and/or for travel I prefer the Billingham Digital bag. By removing one of the inserts, the Q3 with a grip fits sideways leaving space for sunglasses or a flash or 2nd compact camera like a Ricoh GR III. 1 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
