Yesterday was both a beautiful adventure and a near-death experience in Provence. Here is a macro image from my Q3-43 and a link to my Leica Travel Photography blog post about my recent mishap.

Just looked through your lovely Q3 43 gallery (https://www.walkacrossitall.com/leica-q3-43-gallery). It shows the main reason for getting the Q with the 43 APO lens. Having the potential for visual documentation (urban or rural) and homing in on detail is really exciting. Thanks!

For those who are also interested, I have been thinking about buying the Q3 43 in addition to the Q3 for some time. Here are a few thoughts and comparisons on this consideration...

Looks fabulous. How did you get that lovely finish? I’m not familiar with patinization.

Dancers in rehearsal. Uncropped, f/7.1, 1/250s, ISO 8000.
Processed in Lightroom to desaturate the background (ugly yellow walls) and AI Denoise.

This was an all day session with the dancers, and it convinced me that the AF in the Q3 43 is a significant step up from the Q2. Yes, body/face/eye AF is still very 'jumpy' when you first frame, but if you pick one figure, even in a crowd like this, then the Q3 43 gets sticky, and does a creditable job of tracking them. It still gets fooled by a figure crossing in front of the one you're tracking, but it is much less distracted by figures in the background.
