Incense & Apple.   Also, I've been toying around with JPEG to understand all the options within the 343.   Between manual and auto, the large sensor with crop options and everything else, this is such a versatile camera.

Proof of concept for moments you need a wider view with the Q3 43. Two exposures merged in Lightroom:

Did you use manual focus so that you could stich it properly, or was it not an issue since you only took two images?  I'm under the impression that with AF, it resets after two images even if you hold the shutter half-pressed.

are you using a star filter or is that how the Q3 43 renders certain lights at a specific aperture?

Thank you for your feedback and questions, much appreciated! The pictures were taken with ISO 100 at f/16 and AF. At this aperture almost everything from front to back is in focus, so it is not crucial were the focus point is hitting within the frame. And at this aperture you don’t need a star filter as the focus blades create the stars nicely - if you like this effect. Of course there are shooting situations, were the 28mm version would be the better option, but all in all the Q3 43 is a good allround package.

First attempt at stitching 12 photos in Lightroom. I think I need to work on this technique much much more to get the best result out of all 43 images.

I worked with some of the sliders in LR to get this look without having to mask out the artwork, which is presented in a glass display case.

From this point a comparison with the Q3 28 would be interesting. If anyone of you happens to be in Dresden in the next time, please do me the favor and put your Q3 28 exactly at the middle point on the base of the equestrian statue :)
