This thread of amazing pictures may have cost me a lot of money. Though I seem to see a bit too much red in the caucasian skin tones, Maybe my screen, maybe not. And could it be just a tad too sharp for portraits?  I'm pondering. But many thanks to all who have posted here.

150mm crop.  Beyond the limits of what I would use.  Focused on the lower foreground leaf at f/4, 1/60 sec, ISO 200

Some incredible photos in the Q2 and Q2M image threads as well, could cost you slightly less money.~

Definitely very sharp, but it is up to you to reduce clarity and sharpness. The skin tones are actually fine, depending on the surroundings.

It is definitely very sharp and contrasty for portraits or generally if you don't like that, which is why I've resisted but it is one hell of a camera.

As I have shown some of the portraits in this thread, I can confirm that the lens is tack sharp and I wanted to show this with my examples. As the files of this camera (and any other contemporary digital camera) are extremely malleable and hold a ton of information it is really easy to work with the files until you get exactly the look you want in your final image. From adjusting the color to reduced sharpness and contrast is only a few tweaks in any image processing software. If you are working with jpg alone and don't want to do any post processing, this might of course be an issue. But for me the real fun begins when I open the dng in Lightroom and apply my presets, tune the picture until I like it and am so far more than happy with the output of the Q3 43 🙂

Here an example with four different versions of the same picture:

The fifth version, that convinced me  the most, was posted in the "Black and white" - thread in the Photoforum

Went out today to try the new camera out . there is an event in London that’s known as the classic car boot sale. Lots of people dress up in retro clothing.
