R-Lenses CL

Hallo,

does anyone have experience with R lenses on the CL? Do they fit as well  as M lenses?

The R-L adapter make them quite big on the CL

The R lenses work as well or even better than the M lenses on the CL. The ROM lenses are the best for the lens identification, but the CL menu allows you to chose any R lens the lens from the list. I use the 15, 35, 60, 100 and 180 mm lenses , mostly un-ROMed.

This is my CL with a Metabones LR-L mount converter and a macro-elmarit - R 60mm lens.  It has a bit of weight to it, but not at all unwieldy.

When I get home in six weeks time I’ll dig up some pictures with the CL and 105-280 R. IQ can only be described as excellent.

Ok, that is fine. I didn't really know exactly what I wanted to ask. I was surprised that there was so little to read on the subject. I wondered whether there was anything that would practically speak against the use of R lenses. Apparently it's just the size of the adapter that some people don't like. But the advantage of the lower price compared to M lenses remains.

because minimal focus distance for M lenses is limited by the rangefinder system
