If they made these photos in their studio (looks like it), then it's 3rd party and a quick call would answer that. If they are using Leica marketing photos, then it must be a new Leica accessory. It looks to me as if all the photos in the article are Leica marketing photos, so I think there must be a new accessory coming. I wonder if Leica anticipated some people being put off by the gray. I called my dealer on the 11th and left a message asking to be placed on a list, if any, for the rumored Leica Q3 with 40-50mm lens. I received an email an hour later saying I was first on their list for “the Q3 w/ the 43mm F2 lens”. Obviously they either had the camera or had shipping info from Leica. It's called Multifunctional Protector Q3, fits both Q3 variants, and has part number 18573. My dealer asked if I need that one to be shipped tomorrow together with my Q3-43 but I passed on it since I have the wireless charger grip already and don't like adding more bulk.
