Not the most polished comparison but compared to the current Q3 (in red), the 43mm lens looks to be just a bit longer.

Source?

I don't doubt a Q43 is on the way, but reports till now have implied there would be no macro.

That Ikea table looks a bit fragile. I wouldn't want to put an expensive camera on it.

The same Ikea table was in a mailing  from Leica (no sign of a camera though) and I am not sure it is a table.

I'd still love to know about all the deniers in here who have gone quiet starting to sound like flat earthers.

Won't call anyone out but there's a few that's been flat out calling this release fake and that the images are photoshopped and that it doesn't exist...

In before rumour sites or reddit posts these.

I’m sure it’s a real camera but the text of Page 2 (of the above) has multiple grammatical and punctuation errors - just saying…

Are we placing bets?

The Q3 43 is real but it won't hurt you promise.

I wonder what the filter size is? I know, such a little detail! 🤣

This looks like an internal info sheet for sales.

I wonder how many will sell - sure, there is interest among Leica Q fans, but for the general photography public and quite a few vloggers it will be just a vastly overpriced fixed lens point-and-shoot of limited use. At least the Q3 it could be presented as a cropping type standard zoom camera and the 28 mm AOV matches the smartphones that most of the world population is attuned to. A 43 mm ff lens needs an exceedingly long selfie stick.  I doubt that there is a viable market outside dedicated Leica Q users.

It was a joke mate. Sorry if I offended. Just mind blown that after so much evidence of a camera existing that people are still doubting it.

Is this a CL replacement?
(I could have started a new thread with this title).

Some have suggested they would sell their Q28 and buy a Q43 instead. But a Q28 and Q43 together in the same small-ish bag would be a great travel/street combination, covering everything in the CL system except the very wide (<28) and very long (>90-ish), and at full frame with macro. In Leica-land, the cost of two such cameras is less than a M11 with two lenses - but probably a bit more than a CL with several lenses.

I might be interested myself.......
.......except I'm probably carrying a MP, a ii Model D and a large format camera as well.....

Tempted?

'Q3 43': does that open the door to a Q3 21 ?

If the Q system has been as successful as all the reports suggest, then Leica may find it pays to develop a range of versions, longer and wider - and mono versions of each. The Q43 will open the floodgates of speculation!

Leica's been looking for a modern money spinner to succeed the M; the SL will always be limited (aside from size/weight) because it takes a bit more expertise to get the best out of it, and the S is niche.

This is exactly my plan, to get both.
I sold the SL2-S two months ago, but I think I’ll keep the S5II for the occasional shoot with M lenses and more special use cases

Actually, I’d love to find a really small L mount body to mount my 21 APO SL on.  That would give 21 and 32.5 in an APS-C crop and then Q43 would take care of the rest.

That's called the Lumix S9 with a couple of compromises.

I’m sorry you have difficulties understanding the difference between easy to understand concepts like “It exists” vs “Why it exists”. Maybe a little more diligent reading of previous posts would help you understand the difference between the two, and I’m sure people here would help you if you kept struggling with that.
