JM2 Posted August 15, 2024 Share #1 Posted August 15, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Can I fix it if I go to the self-service or service center? The screw is broken inside. Let me know if there's a way to get it out. Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! jaapv Posted August 15, 2024 Share #2 Posted August 15, 2024 Shouldn’t be too difficult. Any half-way competent camera technician should be able to do it.
jaapv Posted August 15, 2024 Share #4 Posted August 15, 2024 Well, as a dentist familiar with removing broken screws from implants I would use a diamond-tipped bur in reverse. Failing that make a small slot under the microscope and use a screwdriver but looking at your image, thin-nosed pliers might be sufficient. There are more sophisticated methods like drill a small hole in the middle and use a small self-tapping reverse threaded screw. if you have to ask, don’t DIY. farnz Posted August 16, 2024 Share #5 Posted August 16, 2024 I would try to just unscrew it with a locking needle-nose wrench so that you can lock it on and gradually increase force until the screw starts to turn. One with thin enough tines to be able to grip the broken off thread might be difficult to find but if so you could buy the thinnest and file down the ends until it fits. Good luck! Pete.
