Advertisement Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 Hi Guest leica_mage, Take a look here Want to know what the M8 looks like?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Overgaard Posted August 26, 2006 Share #42 Posted August 26, 2006 It's definitely not at photo and it's not a Leica PhotoShop sample either (their Photoshop samples are usually better and more precise). But it's probably close, except it looks to tall.
marknorton Posted August 26, 2006 Share #43 Posted August 26, 2006 So you agree it's a fake?
Guest stnami Posted August 26, 2006 Share #44 Posted August 26, 2006 That would be a unrealistic assumption for those who believe
marknorton Posted August 26, 2006 Share #45 Posted August 26, 2006 C'mon Imants. Off the fence. What do you think?
Guest guy_mancuso Posted August 26, 2006 Share #46 Posted August 26, 2006 Fake or not . I would say it would look very close to that. Just everything needs to be in the right place. I have a feeling though 2 batteries are going to be a must , frankly so is the DMR. I get maybe 300 shots. Honestly from all that I have heard from my birdies this looks like the eagle coming. This is going to be fun.

stunsworth Posted August 26, 2006 Share #48 Posted August 26, 2006 i wonder why haven't Leica deleted this thread yet? Dunno, but here's my opinion - and if I'm wrong I won't be too bothered, it's a fake.
Guest stnami Posted August 26, 2006 Share #49 Posted August 26, 2006 I doubt if anyone is too far off the mark though it will be bulkier than wanted, plus the usual Leica quirky engineering, version 2 is on my shopping list as the Kitchen overtook version

Guest stnami Posted August 27, 2006 Share #51 Posted August 27, 2006 Unfortunately the gourmet recipe writer lives at home so kitchen changes are a non negotiable and this is the 'restaurant'. Anyway fair is fair I did buy some convict dimensioned Sydney sandstone last year as a wall around the vegie patch, lovely stuff to work with Happy to wait in the M line, I'm the guy at the back letting people to push in as they hop off the ferry
erl Posted August 27, 2006 Share #52 Posted August 27, 2006 I have heard that Peter Rabbit is on the loose round Sydney so that vegie patch wall is prbably a good idea. If in Sydney, I will book into your 'restaurant'. Cheers, Erl
marknorton Posted August 27, 2006 Share #53 Posted August 27, 2006 The pictures have disappeared off RFF overnight. Someone has got cold feet or else had a legal boot applied. Roll on 15th...

RFF itself seems to have disappeared - for now... Now it's back.
lct Posted August 27, 2006 Share #55 Posted August 27, 2006 ...if I'm wrong I won't be too bothered, it's a fake. OK how about being bothered a bit, Steve? I bet a bottle of cidar that it's not a fake. For two bottles, Leica will launch two lenses as well. For three bottles, these lenses will be a 28/2.8 and a 16-21/4.
