Somewhere in an isolated village in the Carpathians. Rovin told me they used to have "big-foot" shoes, made out of fir trees, in winter, to press the fresh-fallen snow, so that their three children could walk 5h to reach the school. He is proud that each one of them went on to finish a university degree and start a family.

Yes, he has and he really is. When his wife told us how difficult it was to raise the children, she has tears in her eyes. But then, in the same breath,  she says it was all worth it. They have an incredible  generosity and hospitality and told us how happy they are that we have entered their home.
