(To use the highest praise that exists here in Swabia) , or else: excellent, Marc. It´s a highly artificial pose, but convincing. I like it.

I tried several poses but I liked these artificial poses more than some of the conventional.
stuny Posted July 18, 2024 Share #4 Posted July 18, 2024 Lovely. I think we've seen your subject before.
fotografr Posted July 18, 2024 Share #5 Posted July 18, 2024 This is just my personal bias creeping in again, but I have never been able to develop an appreciation for photos of women who appear to be self-possessed of their own beauty and sex appeal. I'd never have made it as a model photographer. 2 1

Images of glamorous women usually tell us very little about what goes on under the facade or indeed anything about their personality.

I would like to try that on for a couple of minutes! For me, it would be delusional... Yet, we project a fantasy upon others, which is to say, we are delusional about others... until something happens to wake us up!

I do not think that her post is self-possessed of her own beauty (especially not when you know her, Reelika is very calm and reluctant). For me it is like a play: your model should be like an actress, sometimes it must be drama, cliché or whatever. In this special case I liked the the frontal light on her face and her beautiful hair (and her pose) vor 17 Stunden schrieb David Cantor: I agree, up to a point. The photo shows what you and your model want to show or to create and is nothing about the personality. vor 16 Stunden schrieb dritz: Self possessed by their own beauty? Yes Dritz, I think a portrait is always a projection of your thoughts and fantasies. For some viewers it works, for others not.
