About a week and a half ago, a similar situation took place regarding the Q3; however, a few days after a second email indicated change in status to "awaiting shipment," I received a third email indicating the order had been cancelled without explanation. Can’t wait for your response when they raise prices when they are chronically unable to fill orders and you have an expensive item on back order. When I placed the order on the day of the camera's official announcement they told me that mine would be among the first shipping from them. Buds Posted July 15, 2024 Share #30 Posted July 15, 2024 (edited) Hi all, A heads up, Leica have told me here the UK the following. “… upon further investigation, I have received a response from the product team who unfortunately confirmed that the D-Lux 8 is actually NOT compatible with Leica Looks” This is after, they said it would be in an initial launch response to my query. I pre-ordered from B&H a few hours after it was announced on May 23rd. I spoke with customer service last week and they estimated I'd get it in early August, but likely not in time for my trip. I’ve been checking the Leica USA site multiple times daily but have not seen it available to order. If I see that change, I’ll order there and get my $ back on the preorder. I cancelled the one I had on preorder for a month with a local distributor and got a refund. They told me they were told by Leica that they were going to be allocated only 1 per month.
