mgcd Posted August 25, 2006 Share #1 Posted August 25, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) My friend Jess and I were having lunch today, and as usual I pulled out a camera and started to photograph her. For obvious reasons, I just love to photograph her. Anyway, I thought of Albert and his thread about women and Leica equipment. Jess just loves the C-LUX 1 and plans to get one. C-LUX 1, 80 ISO etc. Cheers,

lambroving Posted August 25, 2006 Share #2 Posted August 25, 2006 Hmmm... There COULD be more future in shooting her than buildings and cars...

William - I'm sure there are those who will see their careers evolve along those lines. John - I won't even attempt to decipher what you were trying to say... fotografr Posted August 25, 2006 Share #6 Posted August 25, 2006 I'm trying to picture you holding a little P&S camera out in front of you to compose via the LCD and somehow, it just doesn't fit. Did you feel a bit conspicuous? Kind of like a tourist or something? I DO wish Leica would put viewfinders back in those damn things. Even with those limitations, you came up with a beautiful photograph of a beautiful young lady. Love the expression--half confident, half cocky, all perfect. Even with those limitations, you came up with a beautiful photograph of a beautiful young lady. Love the expression--half confident, half cocky, all perfect. Thanks Brent. I really had some difficulty in adapting to the lack of an optical viewfinder, and to me it's a glaring omission. That having been said, in order to soften the blow, I try to make myself believ that I'm looking at a portble ground glass by using the recording guide lines on the LCD. It feels pretty silly to use a camera in that fashion, although a possible upside is that you look like any other tourist or so trying to take a picture with an awkward tool.
