Hi All,

     I know there are few things which are personal taste just like color of your Camera Body. 
So let’s be clear I’m not asking you to help me decide which color I should buy. 
but more of just an experiment if you have a choice among the following colors to pick as Leica official Q3 body color which one would you like to pick?

 These 4 options are available currently as in stock to pick for Leica Q3 under Leica Individualization for Q3.

You will be owning this camera a for long time. Don’t choose a loud colour that you will tire of over time. For me Zinco would be the first choice without question. Next black and sage as third. Light blue and orange turn it into a fashion accessory and would be an absolute no-no for me. 
 

I had my old Monochrome done in a la carte  grey over a decade ago and I am still happy with my choice ( in real life the grey is quite a bit darker)

Thanks for your view for me also Zinco is first choice and then Sage Green, then Orange and last Blue.

Or you could buy any of the above colours and skin that black, but if it were me and I really wanted the black one I’d wait and get one of those. If that meant waiting a few months then so be it. You could save up for the difference in price over that time and the anticipation would be better - I reckon - than spending so much money on something that’s the ‘wrong’ colour just to have it now. But I’m not you.

Joking aside, I’ve sold a few of the Nikon ZF’s reskinned in green…they look darned good.

I like the look of the coloured leather. The standard black Q3 is a regular diamond pattern as opposed to the "natural" look of the coloured finishes. Are the coloured versions real leather?

A lot of people will tell you to go black, but that's just  "I'm a serious photographer and my camera isn't a fashion accessory" snobbery :) .  I think the colours are fun, so go for it. 

.. and I like the look of the Zinco finish.

Thanks. Yes they are original leather. I’m also tilting towards Zinco. These all colors much nicer in real, pics doesn’t do justice to the actual live feel and look. My wife and daughter didn’t even wanted me to consider Zinco and I wasn’t interested in Sage Green but after looking at the actual camera both these colors looked so good on camera. To me Zinco is the best and then Sage Green. With Sage Green only concern is it’s a bit light color. So zinco is the safe option.

I had the Q2 Reporter, but really didn't like "kevlar" finish. The colour was nice but the material got tatty very quickly. Leica sold that as a plus point which I thought was excellent marketing :)

True that has happened to many people. I love the color of my Q2 Reporter and would buy a Q3 reporter if it came out. The "kevlar" material can always be replaced or reskinned.
