To jump start a camera battery just Google it. There are several videos out there that will show you. mujk Posted October 4, 2024 Share #24 Posted October 4, 2024 There is a reason why chargers don't have this jump start mechanism built-in. As can be seen from the videos, jump starting a Lithium battery by using a power source that does not control the charging process (other than maybe limiting the current somewhat) may actually wake up the battery to a state where the charger thinks it is working properly. But it is hard to tell if the the battery has suffered any damage by the deep sleep state or by the jump start, possibly later resulting in swelling, overheating or catching fire. If I decided to jump start a battery in this way I would never leave that battery unattended when charging. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
