Very nice. I'm curious about the processing. Her left arm goes completely out of focus right below his hand which remains sharp. How is that possible?

My suspicion is that the blurred object is not part of the arm but an item much closer to the camera perhaps on a separate table.

Yes - it is indeed an almost empty glass of white wine. 

Processing was limited to levels and a little cropping and converting to B&W (original had different coloured and types of lights on the subject)
