That’s an interesting approach, but not really what I’ve been doing. I still try to use AF most of the time, but if the AF starts to hunt too much (because it’s dark) and I can get away by pre-focusing for few shots, I will switch to MF, press the joystick to prefocus with AF and then shoot number of frames in MF (without being slowed down by the AF hunting). I would only MF if the joystick press couldn’t get the focus either.
