Good afternoon everyone,

I just purchased this lovely used 90mm Elmarit. Upon receiving it, I noticed that a lot of air moves in and out and can be heard when focusing with the rear cap on. Will this cause sensor dust on my M11 and M10M?

Yes. No. Maybe.

It can if the lens is used in dusty environments but no more so than other 90mm lenses of similar size.

No more than if you used a 75mm f2, either pre-APO or APO 90mm f2, or a 135mm f3.4 APO Telyt.

I own examples of each of these, including a 90mm f2.8 Elmarit-M and they all do the same thing if you focus them with the caps on.

You can drive yourself crazy with "tests" like this or, just use them they way they were designed to be used; with the rear caps off and mounted on your camera.
