Thanks so much. I didn't even notice the logo on his sweatpants until after.  Bonus.

I often discover some details when I open the files on my computer. 😅

Thank you! I was wondering what I was doing wrong. Am I right that this lens is really meant for closeups, like no more than 20 feet.

That's where you see the effect most. At longer distances it becomes harder to tell the difference between a Noctilux and a Summilux or Summicron. A truly exceptional lens on the M10M is the 50 APO.  In addition to the resolution and the way it renders, it's much easier to use than a Noctilux. The focus throw is shorter and it's considerably smaller and lighter. I do get the appeal of the Nocti. At closer distances at f1.0, the resulting images are unique.

And at longer distances, its just harder to focus even with my EVF. So this is a lens great lens, unique in many ways but not an everyday, walkaround 50mm, unless you're doing close up work.

That would be my assessment. Even the f1.2 Noctilux is hard to use. I gave up on mine and bought a Voigtlander Nokton f1.2 which for me handles much more easily, is very sharp and costs waaaay less.

I have a 50mm Voigtlander and I'm glad I didn't get rid of it. Now I know to only use the Nocti for certain occasions instead of trying to use it for everyday use.
