Luke_Miller Posted April 20, 2024 Share #3 Posted April 20, 2024 Looks good to me. Mine has the same marks on the contacts. They are from the camera contacts which are very small and leave that line when the lens is rotated to the lock/unlock position. It was my first SL lens, also bought used. Great lens, you will be happy with it.
LeicaR10 Posted April 22, 2024 Share #4 Posted April 22, 2024 ALScott, Luke is spot on with the marks on the contacts. The lens looks like it was hardly used. Hopefully you have put it on your camera to check the AF. The motor should be very quiet as it finds focus. Its an excellent lens. You can always take a micro fiber cloth and gently run it across the contacts to remove any film etc.. r/ Mark
jaapv Posted April 22, 2024 Share #5 Posted April 22, 2024 When the lens arrives, you can clean the contacts with a cloth and Isopropyl alcohol (on the cloth) just to make sure.

Closest Leica store is Miami and that is still a flight away. Also, I am still waiting on an SL3 so can't put it on a body. So far, I am only buying and looking at buying from Leica USA dealers. Boston, SF, D.C., etc. I am totally comfortable going that route for new or used equipment.
ALScott Posted April 24, 2024 Author Share #7 Posted April 24, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Ended up finding a 24-90 at a dealer that they had just received back from Leica for a service and inspection which comes with a warranty. Felt really good about that option and bought it. Still got a large discount on what I feel like what would be as close to brand new as you can get.
