Dezeinstein Posted April 16, 2024 Share #1 Posted April 16, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) This might be an embarrassingly dumb question, but I have not traveled to the UK in decades, and am going to Scotland and England in a couple of weeks. How can I best safely charge my Q3 battery over there without a current converter? Can I just plug the BC-SCL4 charger that came with the camera into a simple plug adapter and it will charge on 220 without an issue? Or via USB-C into the camera from a plug adapter? Thanks in advance.

Fgcm Posted April 16, 2024 Share #2 Posted April 16, 2024 Yes, just plug the charger into a plug adapter. The charger automatically switches from 110 to 230. Do not forget to bring a couple of plug adapters!

One of the extra benefits of going from 110v to 240v is that the Q3 operates at twice the speed You'll find you can take up to 25fps in continuous mode and nobody in the UK has ever had their Q3 hang. BobsFirstLeica Posted April 16, 2024 Share #6 Posted April 16, 2024 This thread caught my eye since I am traveling to Ireland soon. Cannot one just charge the battery in-camera with a USB-C cable? I suppose any UK adapter with USB charging ports would work. Please tell me if I am wrong. Thanks. Bob
ruskkyle Posted April 16, 2024 Share #7 Posted April 16, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Yep, of course you can. Therefore any USB wall socket, plug or even car connector is viable. I even charge through my MacBook Pro sometimes.
