Congratulations!

Change the battery.

RTFM at least three times.

Shoot both jpg and raw, until you know the answer to that question. The Q3 often tends to over expose, but by shooting raw you can correct that in post. DPP4 is not bad, and is free, though there are better paid programs.

Try fully automatic until you figure out how it makes its decisions!

If worried about your own ability to set the exposure, use bracketing until you get the hang of it.

Digital film is free, so practice a lot on shots you dont need to keep.

Have fun. Dont piss the cat off!

Post your results here, please!

David

When it arrives make sure you charge the battery fully before playing with the camera.

Meanwhile watch these tonight…

Northern Spain(San Sebastian} brings back wonderful memories.  The Q3 is a "very capable performer" that satisfies my needs and more...The previous advice will assist with the "unpack and set-up" stage.  Take your time to enjoy the capabilities of the Q3.

Look forward to seeing your images on the forum..

Costly risk if the lens get's damaged due to lack of Protector lens.  I use the original "Leica" 13035.
