1.4x Viewfinder Magnifier with M11?

I am trying to work out if the 1.4x will fit the M11. 

I found comment saying that it would only fit the M10 with an adapter and indeed I found an eyepiece adapter for the M10 on Leica's website.

I could not find any reference to the M11 however. It does not say on Leica's website that the part will not work with an M11, but neither does it say that it will.

Does anyone know the answer?

I use the mag 1.4 and 1.25 using the adapter that was previously used on M10 into my M11

Whatever fits the eye-piece of the M10 will also fit the M11's.

I have to say it would be useful if Leica actually stated that an adapter is needed for their most current camera on the produce web page…

I’m using the Light Lens Lab 1.4 magnifier, it comes with an adapter that works on the m10/m11.

Yes, especially for the price. 
Order from a reputable dealer with a good return policy if you want to test one out.

I already can magnify my EVF on the M11, so I am wondering why should I get this. Assume it is mainly for use when using RF only?

That's right, Lou. I'm using the RF 1.4x magnifier for 50mm Noctilux, 135mm Apo-Telyt and 85mm Summarex.

It is very good. The only annoying thing is the diopter adjustment moves around too easily.

Fixed with a little strip of gaffer tape.

I bought the Leica one, seeing that it was available in NZ for the first time in over a year. 
 

However I wasn’t aware - because there’s no information on Leica’s site to tell you - that it would not fit my M11. 
 

So now I have to work out what I need in order to actually use it.

Since leica have eyepiece correction lenses that donned an adapter on the M10/M11 now it would be nice if they updated the magnifier as well. And at the prince you can just about buy a visoflex!

all that nice big eyepiece being killed by the adapter!

I agree. It seems bizarre to have moved on by two camera iterations but not to have updated this.

I think the quality is good.

I like the fact that you can correct it.

But for my eye, it is not so cool to switch to a Leica Correction lens when I put on a wide-angle lens. I wish there would be a diopter correction in the camera.

I just got one of the LLL magnifiers - it's pretty good. I'm not a fan of the diopter adjustment though - I would prefer if it were fixed, as every time I put it on I have to adjust it. I also wish they would just make it with the proper threads for the M11 (why did Leice feel the need to change this???) Now you have to use a tiny little thread adapter that won't stay on the camera - and just stays on the adapter - making the little screw cap not fit. Who thought of this? Annoying. I just put mine in a little drawstring jewelry ring bag and  keep it in the pocket of my bag. I used it recently at a play with the 75 Apo at F2 - and I have to say it was hard to use and my focus was off quite a bit (other factors at play as well of course). Still getting used to it.

I just got that 75 Apo and it’s very tricky to focus, especially in poor lighting.

Leica changed the diopter design to improve eye relief.
