I am on SL2 but would love to know what setting you have used for 60 consecutive shots on SL3. Interval shooting on SL2 is a bit of mess. I run into errors for a bit longer exposures (all on manual…)

Hi. I use MIOPS Smart to trigger the camera, in this case with an exposure of 60 sec, and a 1 sec wait time until the next image (with the Noise Reductions turned off; this option is available on SL2x and SL3, not SL, as far as I recall).

Many triggers will work (I have several); look after those compatible with Panasonic's full frame cameras like S1, S1R, S5, S9.

On the camera end of the Panasonic cable, you need a 2.5 to 3.5 mm TRRS adapter plug to fit the Leica SL body (OK for all SL bodies), see post #14 here

Changed the aramid wrap for the SL2-S Reporter to the normal leather wrap.  At least now it won't look weathered after a few uses.  The aramid fiber is nice to look at when it is new, but after a while, the accumulation of skin cells makes it look really old.  Furthermore, the humid weather in Singapore doesn't help as it the fibers absorb all the sweat.

Leica SL3 with Panasonic S85/F1.8 and lit with a Profoto B10.

Very nice indeed, I like your whole setup with nodal slide for the retro flash. Excellent. My Reporter is heading the same way after a 18 month use. I have a couple of other cameras in constant use so the Reporter maybe gets less than a 1/3 of the use. It's a shame the material doesn't quite cope with use. I cant put the camera on the shelf and use gloves to handle it. Such is life, the black looks great. Ken

Hi Ken

Yep....the aramid wrap looks nice when it is new or when you handle it with gloves.  It is basically sandpaper and like what Kai Wong said in his YouTube channel, you leave a bit of your DNA on the grip everytime you use it 🤣🤣🤣

The leather wrap doesn't look too bad on the Reporter.

Here is mine last year September 2023 when closer to new. There is quite a story to how I got both SL2 and SL2 S but not here.

Hi Ken
Anyway, I changed the grip for free at Leica Singapore.  Essentially, I got the SL2-S Reporter when it was first launched in Aug last year and within 3 months, the grip started to fray.  I reported this to Leica Singapore, but they didn't have stock for the aramid wrap back then.   Only decided to bring it to Leica to replace the grip as it looked so beat up last month.  So, if you can change your aramid wrap for free at your local Leica, go for it.  Love your 35mm APO.....really sharp lens.

Last light at Piz Badile

This picture of Piz Badile was taken at sunset in late autumn. The north-eastern wall was already covered with snow and the northern crest was the borderline between shadows and light. I worked with the 90-280 mm APO-Vario-Elmarit and 210 mm focal length.
