benqui Posted March 13, 2024 Share #1 Posted March 13, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Today I got a foldable thumb grip for my M10-R and I like like it. Feels solid and is very slim if you close it. So it does not disturb in a camera holster in comparison to a „normal“ thumb grip. The colors are black brass (and silver). I will see how the thumb grip will be under real life conditions…. Welcome, dear visitor! evikne Posted March 13, 2024 Share #4 Posted March 13, 2024 Thanks for the tip! Very interesting. Is yours black or silver? It seems lighter than the black one on the website, but darker than the silver version. 1

RMF Posted March 14, 2024 Share #6 Posted March 14, 2024 Thanks for posting photos of yours. I like this better than the Hobby Japan iteration; it’s a little cleaner in the execution.

I would like to have it a bit darker, but maybe in another version vor 5 Stunden schrieb jakontil: Nice marc, slim profile.. for once i thought your BP boasts double shutter release might want to look into it Thanks a lot! Yes it is the M10-R-A version. The „regular“ shutter produces digital, the „new“ shutter release analog photos. So you have the best of two worlds!😀

As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! sad sad - i mean i am stating here the obvious : Leica's thumb support 24015 is just not the same as the one on my m10d, it's an elephant. it's not foldable, it sticks out all the time, i assume it permanently touches and scratches one's cloth and skin, it may even be somewhat hazardous in the case of me slipping on Montréal's icy roads. i never understood alta moda, i can't understand how ergonomy is sacrificed for something visual called Bauhaus. my LAMY 2000 fountain pen is beautiful visually but still features a useful clip, and even won countless design awards with it... anyway, my wife is telling me : you and your hard head ! 1
Ralf Posted March 14, 2024 Share #10 Posted March 14, 2024 Thank you for the link, looks interesting. One thing though, I have been using trditional thumb rests for years on my M9, M9P and now the original Leica one on my M10 P. Never ever did I have any problem nor did I find them bothersome in any way, just a great accessory for a better hold of the camera. I have to admit though, the original Leica model is somewhat overpriced, so no news here..... 1
