CFExpress Cards if also using SD Card?

With the SL3, I assume the write speed is going to be dictated by the slower card if using one for redundancy.  What would be the recommended CFExpress card to use?

I'm primarily going to be using the camera for photos.  I've never used my SL2-S for video, but I'm not sure if I will be with the SL3 going forward.  Can the camera be set up to use the SD card for backup when taking stills, but only use the CFExpress card when shooting video to take advantage of the higher speed?  In that case I guess having a faster CFExpress card would be better?

in my eyes all CFExpress B cards are very fast; I used only Sony Tough during SL3 test, but don‘t expert real differences to other CFEs. More important - and also more expensive! - is a fast UHS II SD card

So basically any CFExpress card that’s equally as fast or faster than my SD card would work for stills, but the SD card read/write speed (and size) would be the limiting factor?

today it is impossible to find a CFE B card, which isn‘t 4 times faster than the best SD card - ore more…

your question: this depends on the settings; if you‘re using both cards with backup functionality (RAID 1) the slowest card defines the performance. But video files are always going to the CFE card as I remember.

CF Express is like having an SSD in the camera..

I go my Angelbird 1TB AV PRO CFexpress 2.0 Type B SE Memory Card at BH $200 and a reader for 35$

It is not in stock right now, but they are working well.

I guess the CFExpress will give much faster times for uploading to my computer, but will using an SD card as back up be likely to slow things down for stills shooting? I'm guessing not but would be interested to know the SL3's write speed.

exactly, that's it; 

at first I was very sceptical about this mixed implementation, but during the 2 months of testing it proved to be practical: Since the macbook has an SD memory card slot, I can read out the SD card for small amounts of data and the CFE card for larger amounts.
