n’t the original SL limited to 30 mins video?

The SL is extremely limited if you record internally(8 bit only) but you can go as long as the battery lasts with an HDMI recorder

hi all, so can it be used or not?

I had an sl and greatly enjoyed it, used as webcam and was always swapping batteries which greatly annoyed me. with this option would have been great

at the time a similar solution was available for the S series but not SL

so is this new dummy battery working in SL1 ?

anyone that knows or can try?

i have a DC-SCL6 dummy battery for my SL2 and the power will work with a wall converter with USB-C output (to usb-c female) on the dummy battery. It does not work w/ my Anker PD power bank though. If i connect thru the USB-C input of the camera with a real battery in the camera and the PD power bank will provide power and charge the battery. (note you have to connect the usb-c first) before turning on the camera.....

I have another solution where i use by Makita 18V battery going thru a step-down converter to produce 12V and use a Kondor Blue power plug male to USBC output (9V regulated). AND that works for both the USBC port as well as the dummy battery for the SL2.

plug to usbc https://tinyurl.com/2wuwzcts

connector for 18V makita battery:  https://tinyurl.com/hfca5w6h

So this is the DIY version of the coupler !
nice 👍

Do you experience any draining of the internal Battery first? Or does the conversion get rot of this.

Cheers Peter
