50mm classic, compact, black paint

I know this question has been asked a million times, but I have very specific requirements:

- I am looking for a 50mm lens
- I want a classic image quality, with character
- I need it to be as compact as possible
- It should be in black paint, preferably

I already own a modern 50mm Summilux 1.4 ASPH, but I do not enjoy using it as much for some reason. It is too modern for my taste (pairs nicely with digital cameras, but not so well with black paint film bodies), not as compact as some of the 28mm and 35mm lenses that I use regularly, and it does not match my black paint camera bodies.

Is it too much to ask? 🤔

The Light Lens Lab 'ELCAN' 50mm f2.0 replica is available in Black Paint. They also offer an all-black-paint IROOA replica (the Leica original has a satin-chrome band).

It's absolutely tiny and with more abberrations than a v4 Summicron so should be perfect for your needs.

I keep coming back to color skopar 50/2.5 it’s tiny, has very subtle character with good image quality, black paint. It can be hard to find this lens new, maybe have a look at new color skopar 2.2 it’s a bit bigger but no idea if they maintained image quality.
