Dr. G Posted February 23, 2024 Share #1  Posted February 23, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have three of the APO Summicron-SL lenses (35, 50, 75) and the 50mm Summilux-SL.  For my less used focal lengths I’ve always considered Voigtlander high quality with great performance, so I have a couple of them and was thinking of picking up the 21mm Nokton.  I’m beginning to wonder if using lenses made by Sigma would actually be better because they were specifically made for L mount.  Any thoughts? Advertisement Posted February 23, 2024 Posted February 23, 2024 Hi Dr. G, Take a look here Native L mount vs adapted M mount?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted February 23, 2024 Share #2  Posted February 23, 2024 Sigma does not make lenses with the character of Voigtländer. OTOH Sigma lenses are of first-class quality and support the full L functionality. Up to you, I fear...
Dr. G Posted February 24, 2024 Author Share #3  Posted February 24, 2024 Thanks, I figured as much.  I ordered the 21 Nokton.  Wide open it looks great and stopped down it seems to be highly resolving and sharp.  I love my 40 1.2 and 15 5.6.  At the end of the day it’s about the images.  .
