Just wondering… In any case, something to wish for a possible SL3-S. I hope so. I’m communicating with some Leica people about it at the moment. All the cameras with the same base silicon have it (A7R5, A7CR etc) so it’s not a sensor issue. I’m not sure regarding the shutter design. AFAIK Leica is the only company that doesn’t offer EFCS on any camera. It’d be useful on their M11 as well. Gordon

Canon in the past for wildlife but I did not like the rendering of the lenses, nor of the sensors. In my hand the SL works well, reason that I supplemented my cameras with an SL2S. I like basic AF systems so the sophistication of Sony et al does not appeal to me.

My favorite images from the trip have a kind of painterly quality to them. The good is certainly very good.

I don’t have the Sigma, only the Leica 90-280 for wildlife, but exactly the same autofocus frustration. I also have the Canon R6 ii (which is my wife’s main camera now) with the 100-500 for wildlife. It’s autofocus is far far superior to that of the SL3.
